President Nelson asked us to write a gratitude journal this week on social media. This is the most social media I get: Youtube, blogger, Pinterest, and that's it. Being that I can't really post things on youtube, I decided to go for a blog. It won't be seen by many, but hopefully it will be seen by you in a time you need to see it.
My son, Tom. You are so loved. We love your crazy horse play, your intelligent questions, your desire to learn and so much more.
Today I was remembering the times when you were about 18 months, maybe 2 years old. We lived in our house 2214 Blindlake Dr Houston, TX 7704. It was hot and all the kiddos were sent outside to play in the sprinklers or slip 'n slide. I remember seeing the kiddos take turns with the hose before you came around. But this summer, you better believe you wouldn't let ANYONE else touch the hose. You had to be 100% in control of it. And the most hilarious part about it? THEY LET YOU! You would scream and fight so the kids, without any influence from me, let you have it. You have always had this kind of tenacity. For better and sometimes worse, you try to dominate others. Sometimes it works out well. Others, not so much. You are a FORCE! I just hope you use that force for good, not evil! ;)
We love you, Tom. Always will. We are so grateful for you. Don't ever forget that.
